Anne Jenkins
Anne believes in swimming for life whether that is learning to swim for safety as a child, swimming for fun and fitness or swimming to keep mobile as a masters swimmer. Anne is equally passionate about playing hockey for fun and fitness, which means playing long term, rather than a short competitive career.
In 2016 Anne received the Australia Day Local Hero Honours Award due to her continuous support and contribution within the local sporting community.
Involved in the promotion of swimming, hockey and triathlons in the Warringah region for 30 years.
Owned and operated the Terrey Hills Swim School since 1986. She is the founding member of the Terrey Hills Swim Club which began in 2006.
President of Warringah Hockey Association since 1999. She has been coaching and managing the Terrey Hills Hockey teams since 1995 and was a player in the Warringah region many years before this.
Active member of Collaroy Swim Club for over 20 years and an active member of Triathlon Clubs in the Warringah area for over 30 years. Within the past 30 years Anne has also managed to raise 3 children into adulthood!
Our Facilities
At Terrey Hills Swim School we believe that attending a swimming class or a fitness session should be an enjoyable experience for everyone. To achieve this we have invested in developing the facilities we provide for our customers so that everyone can relax and enjoy themselves when they visit us.
Crѐche
Our crѐche is available for your convenience and to allow parents to participate in swimming or fitness activities at our Swim School or for parents to attend a Parent & Child class with one child while siblings are cared for in a safe environment.
The Creche is FREE for any parent participating in Aqua Fit and Adult Swim Fitness on Monday to Friday mornings. For children aged from 0 – 6 years. The Creche is also accessible for Nourished Yoga parents.
The crѐche can be used on a casual basis using Pass Plans (5, 10 and 20). If you register you are guaranteed a place once we have confirmed a booking for you. Casual users should phone on the day to check crѐche availability, however, we cannot reserve a place for you over the phone.
Please collect your child/children within 15 minutes of your class finishing – the crѐche will close and the staff leave at 11.15am, so you will need to collect your child or children by this time.
Remember to bring your child’s favourite toy and pram/stroller.
Crѐche hours are 8:15am – 11.15am weekdays.
Café & Play Area
Our Café has a wide range of healthy eating options plus sweet treats. Enjoy a relaxing coffee indoors and catch up with friends during your child’s lesson time or sit outdoors while watching your children on the slide in our play area or playing field. In colder weather our café area has heaters to keep away the winter chill.
We also provide breakfast with a choice of two thick slices of raisin toast or plain toast (toaster provided) for our swimmers who have classes in the Top or Middle Pool before School. Breakfast is included with class fees. Breakfast is also available for squad swimmers for a small fee of $3 each.
A BBQ is available on Saturday mornings.
Café Open: Sat 7:30am – 12:30pm and 7:30am – 6:00pm weekdays.
Swim Shop
Our fully stocked swim shop has a wide range of the latest swimming costumes for men, women and children.
We also have a range of rash vests, swim fins, caps, goggles, swim coats, towel-u-wear and other accessories. Brands include Speedo, Eyeline, Zoggs and Vorgee.
Our staff can expertly fit you with your next pair of goggles or help you select a new swimming costume for you or your child.
We also have gift cards available which can be used in the shop or for swimming lessons.
Vouchers
Terrey Hills Swim School accepts Active Kids Vouchers.
These Vouchers can be used for your swimming lessons and Intensive Holiday Programs according to the conditions below.
Please read these carefully as once the voucher is submitted and activated it is not refundable.
Vouchers must be submitted before the 3rd Monday of the month to be used for the following month’s fees.
Vouchers are to be emailed to bookings@thswim.com.au

Employment
To be employed as a swim instructor you require one of the following qualifications to be completed before or after our internal training:
Swim Australia Teaching of Water Safety (preferred)
AUSTSWIM Teaching of Water Safety
Royal Life Saving Society Teaching of Water Safety.
All employees must maintain a current CPR qualification and renew each year.
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
